Did you add the otter after the pencils using another program? Cuz it's just hard to believe how well you erased that super dark value of Hermione's sweater without smudging. I often try to do pencil shaded sketches, but I create a smudgy mess afterwards. You got any tips for a messy artist?
Also how many pencils did you generally use for this sketch? Can you give their strengths (e.g. HB or 2B, etc.)?
This is just amazingly gorgeous! The strokes and the tiniest of details just makes this whole drawing even the more interesting. Love the effect on the otter.

-my friend and I hugging- Kaitie: Remember, lunch, every Sunday. Me: Yes, of course. Kaitie: I love it how I'm two feet taller than you. Me: You can rest your chin on my head. Kaitie: It's very comfortable. Me: I can feel your heart beat. Kaitie: Awkward.
OMG. beautiful job. how long did this take you? how did you do it? just awesome.

Love doesn't lead to the dark side. Passion can lead to rage and fear, and can be controlled, but passion is not the same as love. Controlling your passions while being in love, that's what they should teach you to beware, but love itself will save you
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
