Guess it's a personal trend now to only update this on my bday. So yep, moving that old post, apparently now about youth, off my front page. And now I have a zero in my age again. That seems significant somehow >.>

So last time I said I wasn't posting much art because I was TRYING to get into art school, and now I'm in, and so cannot create art like I did a long time ago to post. (I also noticed that was when 'Snape's Patronus' was done. Wow was I slow getting that up :/) So now I put up my dorky comics... Hope they're enjoyed - Someday I'll have time to do pencil stuff again...

And now to go work. Because that is the ultimate birthday gift to yourself

Hm... appears I’m 19 now Fractionally depressing, but really, what doesn’t depress me these days: the cold, the fact we only got 8 trick/treaters on Halloween, politics, the economy, no-longer-shiny nickels, Lifehouse music, the latency issues on WoW… I could go on for novels.

I haven’t been doing much in the post-able art area as most of my efforts are focused on trying to get a portfolio for art school applications, so… apologies for not delivering the sort of stuff I normally do. I did actually get another patronus picture finished (Snape with his lovely doe), but my scanner hates me and refuses to stop blurring it. So... try to imagine a nice version of it, preferably one that makes you happy

I threaten my electronics daily in hopes they’ll eventually cooperate with me, but it hasn’t happened quite yet.

Woot, first year is done with and out the window! What a relief to be free from this cement prison that is rez... now to 4 months of work, microeconomics, and drawing. I hope. Unless WoW sneaks up and steals my free time (which it's been doing so well recently - anyone else find themselves lost in gameplay?)

It saddens me that I produced only 3 things in 8 months... bio sciences are so draining. Hopefully geography is better, for both time consumption and my sanity. I would really like to finish the patronus series I started with Hermione. Currently, I've got WIP's for Snape, Harry, and Ginny. Planned out Ron, and toyed with the thought of McGonagall and Dumbledore, but not sure how motivated I am to do those two... the amount of hair and wrinkles scares me. Really need to do more Star Wars stuff...

Ok, done rambling, just so happy to be free I needed to write it somewhere.
Oh, and I did try those requests from last time, so.. I'll try to make them look decent.

When I last wrote a journal, I hoped something would come up before my next birthday... I really wish it wasn't the passing of a great artist - John Alvin died of a heart attack yesterday. It seems so recently that I met him, even though it was almost a year ago... But his art will live on, and may he rest in peace.

On a feeble attempt at a lighter note, if anyone did have ideas they wanted me to try drawing, I'd be willing to attempt the whole request thing now. (I'm hesitant to write this out of fear of rejection/disrespect for the above comment...)

It’s that darn b-day again. How’d that happen? Now I’m 18… Why must time go so fast? It feels like such a short time ago that I last wrote a journal, but it was a whole year ago… Probably slept through most of it…

Now I’m old, and my time is being devoured by irritating 1st yr science courses… I think I’ve drawn maybe 2 things in the last 3 months. To be honest, I don’t know where my time is going, since I don’t really spend as much time as I should with my notes/books, reviewing for who knows what. I’d upload them, but I haven’t seen my scanner since August. Damn my idea to move 8 hrs away from home… oh well.

I was wondering: if I offered to accept requests or anything like that, would anyone be interested? I probably can’t right now, but I was just curious… I’m tapped for ideas. I could probably do stuff over the holidays, though. If anybody wanted. Just thought I’d put that out there.
